ABOUT SARA BARNES
Sara Barnes is currently a MFA Illustration Practices candidate at MICA. Barnes’ bold yet intricate collage work explores folk elements and narrative threads with embroidery and layered cut paper. Sara is also the founder and curator of Brown Paper Bag, a blog focused on showcasing artistic works on paper and beyond. Barnes previously exhibited her artwork at EMP’s (…and you’re just not good enough) in Washington, DC last February. The works can’t be done justice in 2-D form so EMP is thrilled to have Miss Barnes in for an up-close-and-personal session with her beautiful collection again!
