EMP Collective is proudly presenting their second theatre piece of 2012: A Brief Narrative of an Extraordinary Birth of Rabbits by playwright C. Denby Swanson, directed by Elissa Goetschius.
In 1726, Mary Toft was an English peasant who took a hold of the scientific community by reportedly giving birth to rabbits after unsuccessfully chasing one in the fields for supper.
In 2012, A Brief Narrative of an Extraordinary Birth of Rabbits plunges into the world of Mare, a dreamy young woman who agrees to be the surrogate for her infertile sister’s child.
