ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Jamahl Rahmaan is a flamenco dancer. His approach to the dance form is more experimental as a challenge to the traditional. He attempts to take the dance form into other musical genres and movement expression.
Emilia Pennanen is a Finnish artist creating performances, videos, photography and sound of feminine bodies. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the Maryland Institute College of Art in December 2014. Pennanen’s work aims to address the dilemma of the conventional ideals of the feminine body and the rules of a woman’s pleasure by placing the female in control of her body and desire. Lynne Price holds an MFA in dance from the University of Maryland. Lynne is a performer, movement researcher, choreographer, improviser, poet, and educator working in the Greater Baltimore area since 2009.
