We’re raising funds for artist stipends! Since opening their doors in 2011, EMP Collective has been dedicated to paying stipends for all artists in their theatrical productions. Each year, we strive to produce works that are increasingly more imaginative and more risk-taking than the last; incorporating diverse voices from many artistic disciplines. While this is rewarding practice that supports brilliant work, it is an expensive operation.
This year, we’re taking it to the streets and asking for your donation toward these costs as we open our 2014-2015 season of performance, visual art, film, music, and lit with our next play, Potatoes of August.
Potatoes of August kicks off EMP Collective’s performance season which also includes our Pulse performance art series, a site-specific remount of Liz Maestri’s Condo Condo Condoland (first workshopped through our Cans n Drafts writing program in 2012-2013), a brand new theatre weekend festival in the spring, several resident artist performances, and our super-secret summer show in 2015.
We need $2500 for artist stipends on Potatoes of August. Any additional funds raised over our goal will go DIRECTLY toward artist stipends on these upcoming performance projects. Time is running out! Read more about our initiative and donate today:
